Fly(A)way : Lessor Flamingo

The Indus Flyway is the migratory route for greater flamingoes and other bird species, from Siberia, across several mountain ranges, to the Indian Sub Continent. Through the 80’s and 90’s, between October and March, startlingly flamboyant flamingoes, could be seen wallowing around the mangroves in Karachi. Over the years, as their sanctuary were violated by development, the greater flamingo population found other places to call home.
