The Flight is part of Conversations with Karamatuallah and grew out of the act of documenting vulnerability, solitude, ageing and a presence of intimidation and oppression under the surface of the urban sheen of a city. An unoccupied chair is an everyday image, the transient presence of a sparrow, taking fleeting refuge, vulnerable, foretelling approaching sorrow.
